I am currently on the AD and have done it before with great results. Now that I live with my significant other, she is interested in trying the AD as well. The only issue is that she basically refuses to lift weights. She'll run all day long but simply won't do any type of weight training. That being said, are the carb ups on the weekend necessary? Should they be reduced to one day? I apologize if this has already been asked/answered, I've read every page of the original AD thread and can't remember seeing anything about this scenario. If this has been answered elsewhere, please feel free to point me in the right direction and close the thread.
PS...I realize that removing carb days would make this not the AD. She just really wants to try doing this with me and has had previous success losing weight on low carb diets.
