Anabolic Diet Carbs Question

Can anyone explain to me why on the weekends you are advised to eat low protein and low fat with high carbs on the weekend instead of high carbs high protein and low fat? I understand why you use the carbs, but why wouldnt you eat protein with the carbs?

Carbs are protein sparring. The more carbs your body uses for fuel, the less it relies on protein as a source of energy. Also, protein does nothing in terms of revamping the mechanisms/hormones that the carb up targets.
