AMR (Active Metabolic Rate)


Hi All,

Just a quick question about AMR and it's accuracy. I've been told that calculating your AMR is a good way to determine how many calories you should be consuming each day and how many you should be burning to lose body fat. How accurate is the calculation for determining your AMR? Is it really a good way to figure how many calories I should be taking in each day? I just want to make sure I'm not taking in too many or too little.




It’ll give you a baseline to start with. After that, it’s trial and error. Also, people lose fat at different rates. Don’t short-change your progress just because someone else told you you could only lose 2lbs a week.
