Am I Literally Pissing Away My Supplements?

I work 2nd shift (3pm-11:30pm). I have protein shake and Beta Al at 9pm, pre-workout (Ghost), creatine and BCAAs (Optimum Nutrition) at 11:15 pm, get home and am working out by midnight. I lift for 55-75 minutes depending on the routine. Have my post meal directly following. A pattern over the past 2 weeks is that while making my post meal, I start peeing. A lot. Like every 15-20 minutes until 2:30am, sometimes later. Are my supplements even getting through to take hold or are they just ending up off my back porch every time I piss? I drink about 72 oz water through my work shift, and about 10-12oz during workout. Am I just drinking too much water? Thanks in advance. Brian

The amount of water you’re drinking probably isn’t a factor for uptake.

You should consider drinking less if it is waking you up or annoying you.

You’re probably just not going to the bathroom at work, and drinking more at the end of your day. Make sure your sodium intake is high enough.

Good catch on the sodium. Come to tthink of it, I don’t ingest very much of it (that I can think of). I very rarely add salt to anything.
