Altering Assistance Categories

What do you think about making changes to the 3 Assistance Categories in order to suit the needs of the lifter? For example my elbows have been getting sore from all the pressing, even from dips and pushups, so I would like to change the Press category to Press/Curl. This would help me cut out some pressing, while still getting blood flowing to the area. Would this be a reasonable change?
Also, which category would lateral raises fit into?

You can do whatever you want - working around injuries is not something that is pre-set into the program and must be done with common sense and using experience. Of course, each assistance category has dozens of options to fit just about any kind of lifter/goal or circumstance.

Lateral raises would be in “press”.
