Alpha-GPC and 'Neural Shuffling'?

I’m admittedly not very well read on these, but supposedly vinpocetine increases cerebral blood flow… so couldn’t that increase the cognitive effectiveness of Alpha-GPC? I’ve seen the two of them stacked together a lot.

Likewise, are there any synergistic compounds that might drive Alpha-GPC into places that improve workout performance? Sort of a conceptual equivalent to the idea of spiking insulin to shuffle nutrients, but instead driving Alpha-GPC into neuromuscular pathways?

No responses?

Ok, how about an over the counter intramuscular vasodilator? Anything particularly good for that?

(Considering that vinpocetine is a cerebral vasodilator)

If you’re looking for a vasodilator you can try gingko biloba, although I have no idea if that boosts the effects of Alpha GPC.

For neuro supplements I take gingko biloba (120mg) in the morning with breakfast (after training) with Alpha GPC (300mg), Phosphatidylserine (300mg), and acetyl-l-carnitine (1g). I also take Alpha GPC (300mg), Phosphatidylserine (300mg), and acetyl-l-carnitine (1g) with dinner. Before I go to bed I have acetyl-l-carnitine (1g) with a large spoonful of nordic naturals ulimate omega xtra and a proteirn shake.

As far as noticeable effects, I can’t say for sure what Alpha GPC has had, I’ve tried going off and on and can’t really feel a noticeable difference but I remain optimistic that there is something that is either subtle or gradual about it. However I do notice a big difference at night with acetyl-l-carnitine especially mixed with fish oil (I’ve tried removing one, the other, and both). When I take those two with my protein shake at night I tend to have really vivid dreams and wake up very well rested. Whether or not there is a neurological benefit, the improved sleep quality is enough for me to continue taking those in combination.

Since we’re on the topic of vasodilators, I’m curious if your body builds a tolerance to ginkgo or vinpocetine and if they should be cycled

I Lucid Dream quite often with those above named supplements MINUS the Protein Shake, I have
tried them WITH a Protein Shakes before bed, but no Lucid Dreaming was experienced, for me at least.

The results you’ve had from ALC sounds intriguing. I’ve also had PS recommended to me. I could really use some good sleep, and if that helps, well, I’ll give it a shot.

The only case I’ve heard where Lecithin/DMAE/Alpha-GPC – any choline precursor – really really make a difference is if you’re also taking a racetam. (piracetam, aniracetam, oxiracetam, pramiracetam)

Also, PS is expensive. I was surprised.

Well I don’t think its the PS that is helping me with my sleep, I think its really the acetyl-l-carnitine and fish oil combination. If you are going to take PS make sure you take enough a day, I’ve read various things saying if you take less than 600mg a day it doesn’t do anything (most suppliments out there only come in 100mg and 200mg amounts).
