This doesn’t surprise me coming from you. After watching your posts over a period of time I think you’ve done a good job at hiding your left side. I’ll be very honest with you, I’d vote for a monkey if I thought he was trained to vote against Obama and his socialist agenda. And I have news for you, I’m not alone in my thinking.

A mature person is one who is does not think only in absolutes, who is able to be objective even when deeply stirred emotionally, who has learned that there is both good and bad in all people and all things, and who walks humbly and deals charitably with the circumstances of life, knowing that in this world no one is all-knowing and therefore all of us need both love and charity.

I thought you were already.

The debates in this forum have really fallen from what they used to be, huh?

Oh well. Back to the viable parts of this website.

Just to see what the old gang is up to and to see if there had been any progress of thought.

You see, back in the day, I spent quite a bit of time here. I don’t see any of the guys who actually could uphold an interesting debate around any more (aside from maybe Zeb and even he still thinks Marijuana legalization will damn us all)…which may explain why so many of the topics on this page of the forum are carrying less than 500 views when they used to match all other forums.

Your thinking about these issues seems very limited and non-progressive or even retrogressive. I won’t waste any more time other than to point that out.

Have a great one!

No, these are the left leaning loonies. Now if you could get the Tea Party guys there we might really have all the nut jobs in one place so we can tag them for identification and study purposes.

So you think a bunch of commies and socialist marching on our nations capital is a good thing. Have you even seen any footage? I am sorry I am not interesting enough for you, maybe I should talk about Lohan going back to jail. You are right my thinking is not progressive at all, because I am not a progressive. Research what a progressive is.

I am a TEA party guy, and we are not what you see in the news. We simply want the govt to stay out of our lives, and to get back to the principles our founders set long ago. What makes us nut jobs?

Wait, wait, wait. You want us to NOT believe what we see in the news about you, but believe what we see in the news about the other side?

See what I mean by limited?

I’m out.

Zeb, you couldn’t be more wrong in your thinking.

I “lean” toward caring about this Country; if it’s “left” or “right” and it solves one of any number of problems that our Country has, then I’m for it.

You, however, seem to feel that the “answer” to the Governments problems are in a Party and spinning fairy tales about Ronald Reagan.

I don’t. Our problems are much more systemic; and most likely beyond any one Party to “save”.

The DEMS think you can spend your way out of it.

The GOP thinks you can spend your way out of it.

And the Tea Party is a bunch of pissed off Republicans with a skewed view of the Constitution and more rhetoric than real solutions.

So think what you may…I could care less whether the DEMS or GOP or “The Pissed Off GOP” takes over…I’m not having an orgasm over any of them.

I never said I did not want you to beleive the news. I said we are not what you see in the news. I do not want any one to take my word on anything what I want is for people to do their own research and come up with thier own conclusions. Look at the websites of some of the groups that were at thie rally then compare it to TEA party sites. You will see a huge difference.

Since my view of the constitution is so skewed how about you enlighten me on it. When I read the constitution I take it to mean excactly what it says how is that skewed? FYI I am an independent

T…so am I…and in reading your post, I don’t really get a strong “partisan” view from you like I do others.

But I’ve done the “Outsider/Care About the Constitution/Let’s Change America from the Grass Root’s” thing with the Perot Movement…and even Newt’s “Contract With America” movement.

It was with these experiences that I became acutely aware of how systemic our Country’s problems are…and that an “outsider” is probably the LEAST likely to solve any problem, even if elected.

The best we can do is pull that lever or tap that touchscreen on Election Day, and hope that we’ve at least made an informed decision that we can live with.

I sleep better knowing Rand Paul is going to the senate.

They are estimating that 175,000 where at this rally.

Becks rally did 500,000.

That is funny because most of the tea party is independents. This tea party member is very open about trying to get the anti war left to join, kind of shoots down the whole pissed off republican spin.

It’s your madisonian views of the commerce clause and the general welfare clause he is speaking about.

I find it actually funny that people really do argue that the constitution was carefully constructed to create a government of limited and enumerated powers and then deliberately left loopholes big enough to drive a truck through.

Anyone who seriously argues that with a straight face is either a moron or liar.
