A 900 x 30 total reps post preceding “being old” comments. Jeez.

I recommend you forget age. Instead remember that exceptional strength/good health your regular workouts have provided and don’t ever stop.

well said biker, age is just a number mate, that’s it, don’t fall into the “old” mindset.

I’m not there yet. I am way stronger at 47 than I was at 25.

Not too bad today. I had issues on the first set of stiff leg deads. It felt really heavy, and I thought there was something wrong with me. I looked down and found a forgot to pull of a set of 45s. I was doing 90 pounds more than I was supposed to. I guess I need to go back to the third grade, and learn how to add.

My once a month experiment continues. I like the challenge of building static strength. My daughter went with me. She’s been working hard for tennis season, which begins next week. Not to brag, but she has a good chance of taking home a state medal this year.

There’s a 600+ deadlift in your near future on that Coan program.

I repeated 3rd week today (trap trouble last week) but I increased deadlift weights which actually felt lighter. Still using straps for deads and rows, but my hand gripper daily use might be contributing to increasing strength.

Seated plate lift? Nice standing there holding 405. Farmer’s carry with the 100s is very adequate, too.

I woke up and found snow for the second day in a row. I’m ready for warm weather.

The night before each workout I write everything down. Each week I can’t do squats, due to the one squat rack. I am thinking I am going to keep my squat workout on my desk and take it every week. One day it will be used.

That’s all I had time for. My daughter played in pre-season tennis tournament at the local tennis club. Last night she and her partner took down one of the better girls doubles teams in the area. It was a three set victory. This morning, after my workout, they played an even better team and lost in two sets. It was a good wake up call to judge where they are at. It should be a good season.

That felt pretty good. My son is home this weekend. Lifting had become a passion for him. He’s not much of a powerlifter, he has his eyes set on bodybuilding. He’s in pretty great shape, with a budding six pack. He is considering entering my friend’s contest next year. The nice thing is he and I had a long conversation about lifting Friday night. It’s nice when the kids come to the old man for answers.
