Bench:
135 x 10, 185 x 5, 225 x 3, 245 x 1, 310 x 1, 340 x 2, 380 x 1, 295 x 3, 265 x 5, 250 x 10

Treadmill:
15 minutes / 132 calories

Handstand Pushups:
1

The plan was for two reps of 380. I was only able to get one. I completed the rep and it was very hard at the top. I knew a second rep was not going to happen, so I shut it down.

I went home for handstand pushups, and was only able to get one. This was down from three last week.

Next week will be better, and I am confident I’ll get my two reps and more than one on handstands.

Maybe some Snatch Grip High Pulls (SGHP) about once weekly for awhile. Those should have about same results as handstand pushups. Minimally They’ll improve anyone’s appearance.

Of course doing handstand pushups will have you eventually turning sideways in doorways.

Nice lifting. Squat at 455 x 3 very nice. Not many people doing zerchers anymore. Thought they were going to catch on, again, but haven’t seen many doing them outside of highland competitors.

I know. A lot of guys were doing them on this forum a year or two a go. They are not fun, but they sure make you strong.

Deficit Deadlift:

Rack Pulls:
340 x 5, 390 x 5, 430 x 3, 480 x 2

Laying Leg Curls:
4 sets x 10 reps x 145

The deficit work continues. My deficit is about an inch and half. I pull sumo, but I started playing around with a modified sumo. I did it on some of my warm up reps and all of the rack pulls. It feels pretty good, but it’s going to take some practice to see if it is something I should use.

On a plus note I only have two more weeks of nightshift at work. Its been a long 10 weeks. I always seem to get stronger on days, with the better sleep schedule. That will take me into summer, and then it will be meet prep for August.

Standing DB Front Raises:
4 sets x 10 reps x 55

Seated Plate Raises:
4 sets x 10 reps x 45

Standing One Arm Press:
4 sets x 10 reps x 40

20 minutes / 202 calories

It snowed here again yesterday. This is no longer funny. Saturday I’ll be at my friend’s bodybuilding show as a judge. I just talked to him and it’s a small show with 27 people signed up from all across the Northwest.

Snow? Jeez.

Like that you train both conventional & sumo pulls. It’s got to help your competition sumo pull.

I judged my friend’s bodybuilding show yesterday. It was kind of an all day thing with pre-judging and the night show. It was a pretty good time, since I have never done anything like that before. He took good care of us judges. The bodybuilding show went along with a car show. He had our entire convention center rented out. All the judges got large GNC bags, stuffed with free stuff.

Yesterday was also my daughter’s school’s St. Patrick Day fundraiser. I normally would not go since the tickets are $75 a plate or $1,000 a table. Our friend is a big time personal injury lawyer and he purchased a table. He invited my wife and I. Therefore to make things good at home I went to that event before and after the show. I was feeling a little froggy this morning from yesterday, so I did not lift. If figure I could probably use the days off anyway.

Because of that today was just treadmill. 40 minutes / 449 calories.

Handstand Push Ups:

Today was solid. 380 x 2 is a two rep PR. It was actually a better set than 340 x 2. I think it just came down to getting my head right. 250 x 10 is no joke.

I went home for handstands. Four is also a PR for that.

I’ll probably deload on bench since my days are so messed up with the days I took off.

I think Kroc rows are a terrific exercise.

I’ve slowly gotten stronger with them. Probably a year ago I was using 80s.

Zerchers:

Leg Extensions:
4 sets x 10 reps x 185

I’m not going to lie, but the zerchers were tough. Not only do they hurt, but they were really hard today. 310 might be the most I have ever attempted. I will probably take it to 315 and then drop the weight and add reps.

460 x 3 bench; way to go.

Ooops!!! Thanks for catching that. That was squats. I just changed it. I can only dream of a bench like that.
