I went a little lighter today and if felt good. I’ll continue for a couple weeks, take a deload and then train for the meet.

#722

I’ll be in the same boat with my son next year. Can’t imagine the emotions.

Looks like your bench is going well!

#723

It’s tough Snap. We both text him each morning. We Skyped last night. Our daughter is in the 10th grade. That will be a really hard one.

8/22/16

Deadlift:
135 x 10, 185 x 3, 225 x 2, 275 x 1, 315 x 1, 375 x 3, 405 x 3, 425 x 2, 455 x 1, 315 x 10

Laying Leg Curls:
4 sets x 10 reps x 135

Treadmill:
20 minutes / 211 calories

Farmers’ Walk
55 in each hand / 100 yards

Today felt great. I went somewhat lighter on deads and added more reps than I have been doing. Farmers’ Walk is always a challenge.

8/23/16

BB Skull Crushers:
1 set x 15 reps x 40
5 sets x 15 reps x 90

One Arm Extensions:
4 sets x 10 reps x 40

Kickbacks:
4 sets x 10 reps x 40

55

DB Curls:
4 sets x 10 reps x 50

Rope Curls:
4 sets x 12 reps x 80

Treadmill:
15 minutes / 137 calories

I’ll probably hit it again tonight after my daughter gets out of school. She said she may want to workout. I could use some more cardio. I’ll be at work the next two days, which is good. My back is killing me and squats are the plan for Friday.

#725

8/26/16

Squats:
135 x 10, 225 x 5, 275 x 3, 315 x 1, 370 x 3, 420 x 2, 470 x 2, 320 x 10

Narrow Stance:
4 sets x 5 reps x 320

Leg Extensions:
4 sets x 10 reps x 240

Treadmill:
20 minutes / 192 calories

I kind of screwed up at 470. For some reason I thought my workout was one rep. I completed the rep and racked the bar. I then remembered I had two reps marked down. I had get my mind straight, and unrack the weight again. I left it a little high.

My gym buddy introduced me to apple cider vinegar a couple weeks ago. There are a ton of health benefits to it. Despite the terrible taste I have been drinking a half a shot glass every morning. I noticed more energy and I’ve lost a couple pounds.

On a side note I purchased our plane tickets and made the hotel reservations for the meet in Vegas. Nothing left to do but train my ass off.

Holy A.C. Vinegar…what’s this in Vegas now? Curious for details, what your shooting for.

Z-Man, it’s the WABDL World Championships

#728

Well that looks awesome! Best of luck; be here in no time.

#729

I’ve heard about apple cider vinegar. Never given it a go myself.

#730

z-man, thanks. I’m working my ass off.
snap, it tastes like crap. My wife has a friend who adds stuff to it to make it taste better. I just pour it in a shot glass and go for it. I’ve done some reading and it has a ton of benefits.

#732

And I got my walking in. They walked my fat ass off.

#733

Did it hit back?

Oh man, as a dad of 16-year-olds this hits me hard. Our job is to get them ready to leave, right? Any kid who has parents who care that much is destined to be a winner.

#734

Yep, its tough. With up coming three day weekend, he’s coming home. It will be nice to have him back for a few days.

There was great energy in the gym this morning. Even though I had to work all weekend it was nice to have my son home. We’re now getting ready for the three and a half hour drive to take him back to school.

#737

Nice squatz Crippler.

#738

Great squats and dead work starting toward your meet.

#739

Good gym energy. I love when that happens!

#740

Crippler, usual strong work in here.
