Read an interesting article in this AM’s WSJ.
The short version is that the liquor industry is trying to cash in on the ‘low carb’ thing.
I did find it interesting that a 12oz serving of Gunniess only contained 10g of carbs (125 calories), while Budweiser and Corona were 10.6g and 14g respectively.
Anyway, watch out for those high calorie mixers during the holiday season. They seem to be the biggest offender. And that Smirnoff Ice has 32g of carbs and 228 calores.
Another interesting note was that 63 percent of consumers [incorrectly] thought that beer or wine had less carbs than spirits.
