Any tips on agility drills?

I’m lightening running in a straight line, but when I was doing the illinois agilty test (from a push-up start),I didn’t feel comfty when having to change direction- it felt slow to me.

So what are the little tips, just need more practice, or don’t go into the cone sprinting flat out. Cos if you are going all out it’s quite hard to change direction quickly.
