Age 33, Thinking of Starting TRT

New results, after 1 month of 20mg tamoxifen every day:

LH 6.66 IU/L REF RANGE 1.7 - 8.6

FSH 2.89 IU/L REF RANGE 1.5 - 12.4

FT 12 ng/dL REF RANGE 9ng/dL - 29ng/dL

TT 639 ng/dL REF RANGE 219 ng/dL - 906 ng/dL (from 399)

E2 29.5 pg/mL REF RANGE 0 - 52.3pg/mL

TSH 1.99 mIU/L REF RANGE 0.27 - 4.2

FT4 23 pmol/L REF RANGE12-22pmol/L

SHBG is 39.7 nmol/L RANGE 16-55

Safe to say I can start TRT? thanks.

@KSman an answer here please?

ps: temp 8:00 pm 97.7
10:00am 97.5F

@KSman ?

Those temps are low, I’m at those temps upon waking. If you’re not reaching 98.6 mid-afternoon then you likely have a thyroid issue.

hGH: It make no sense at all to do this prior to IGF-1 lab work.

Really need mid-afternoon body temperatures, not early evening.

fT4 is rather high, fT3 is the active hormone and not tested.
Low body temps do not make sense.

SHBG has increased!

Try 20mg nolvadex every day [ED] and note changes.
FSH is low, and why I suggest more.

I did 20mg Nolvadex ED for the last month. are you saying i should continue like that for another month?

I’ve ordered some iodine 12.5 mg, I’ll try IR for 2 weeks as you suggested in the thyroid sticky, is that ok?

when you say mid-afternoon body temps, what time do you mean? 3-4-5?

Body temps should be at peak levels mid-afternoon, you choice of when.

I now see 20mg ED.
Pituitary output is poor, TRT looks like possible path for you.
Nolvadex results are not great. TT looks good, but FT is inadequate.

IR: You must have selenium and should ideally start that before IR.

temp 08:30 am 97.7F

Test body temperatures at 3 P.M. for a week then post back here.

ok, I will. I also started taking iodine 25mg/day for start.

Selenium!

was already doing that. ~200mg Selenium from 2-3 vitamin supplements.

Temps after 1 week of 25mg iodine/day.

19.07 97.5F 3pm
20.07 98 F 3pm
21.07 97.7F 3pm
22.07 97.9F 3pm
23.07 98.4F 3pm
24.07 97.5f 3pm
25.07 97.9F 3pm
26.07 97.7f 3pm

Started TRT as well. feeling quite good on it, I can see a difference in energy, mood, morning wood etc.

@KSman ?

@KSman, an answer here please?

I was always cold pre-TRT, feet were super cold to the touch. My first shot made me feel warmer and after 15 weeks I’m heat intolerant, when it’s 80F it feels more like 130F outside.

Actual body temperature and heat tolerance are different things.

Those 3mp temperatures are low. Unfortunately we do not see a pattern of increase at this point. May need to do fT3 labs.

@ksman, should I continue taking 25mg iodine/day? or more ?

@KSman ?

@KSman if you increase the T dose to 200mg/week let’s say do you also have to increase HCG? or just adex?
