Anyone know how much load they can handle? My gym banned the use of them for box squating saying it can’t handle the large amount of weight. The most i’ve used was only 295lbs for ME low box squat day. Makes me wonder about those fat girls jumping on them in the aerobic class…
I used 585 plus a green band and 600lbs of straight weight.
Since there are a few zillion brands and types of aerobic steps, each type has a different load limit.
In doing Box Squats on anything less than stable, or solid one risks serious injury. Imagine landing on your ass with 300+ lbs after free falling 6-12 inches.
i never wanted to use those steps, thought they would break, i use a decline bench for box squating (you can change the height real easy its good).
