Post workout shake and nighttime shake look ok, as does ZMA before the bedtime shake. Cut back on that vitamin C (why not eat fruit?), and take more fish oil.

What’s the rest of your diet like?

Im a college student, so things tend to be quite repetitive with the meal situation…Heres a snapshot of what I eat…Keep in mind i try to get between 3.5-4k in calories, but usually make it to 3k…But I just incorporated putting peanut butter into my protein shakes so that should up the caloric intake…

b’fast…
4 eggs
4 0z Oatmeal
8 oz of Milk

snack…
Protein shake (50g of whey)
8 oz of milk
2 tablespoons of peanut butter

lunch
pasta with meatsauce (or more like meatsauce with pasta lol)…i dont measure the servings out, but I know it’s a lot

PWO SHAKE
Protein shake (50g of whey)
8 oz of OJ

PWO MEAL (1 HOUR after pwo shake)
1 can tunafish sandwhich
8 oz of milk

Dinner
3 pieces of chicken tenderloins
1/4 cup of rice

Bedtime shake
50 G of casein
8 oz of milk
2 tablespoons of peanut butter

thx

You’d be better off consuming fruits and vegetables regularly that worry about most of these supplements.

Hey, there, xvsanta42! Long time, no speak. (grin)

I like the fact that you’re not taking a one-a-day multi-vitamin. The ones taken in divided doses 2 or 3 times a day are a lot more effective. Be sure to always take it with food. Take one dose in your largest meal of the day and the other in the meal after your workout.

Chromium Picolinate is to improve insulin sensitivity. You’re spot on with the dosage. There are a lot of studies that show benefit to supplementation with chromium picolinate, so it’s probably a good investment, though you do get chromium picolinate in your diet if you’re eating broccoli and cheese.

I like how you have your Vitamin C spaced out, too! I can tell you’ve done some reading on how to maximize the effectiveness of your supps! (grin) I also like to see Vitamin C used PWO. Vitamin C is an antoioxidant that neutralizes free radicals. Working out, of course, increases the number of free radicals.

Are you having problems with your joints, xvsanta42? As far as the glucosamine goes, the glucosamine HCl is the version that is more available to the body. What dosage are you taking? Most studies were done with 1500mg per day in 3 divided doses.

I like how you’re using your protein powder, too! All around good regimen, xvsanta42!!!

Diet isn’t bad, xvsanta42. I don’t know what your goals are, but independent of goals, I’d like to see you get more fruit and veggies and beans in your diet and also some olive oil.

Pretty good job all the way around, xvsanta42!!! (grin)

Thanks…

The Glucosamine Chondrotin has…
Sodium 63 MG
Vitamin C (as manganese ascorbate) 42 mg
Manganese (as manganese ascorbate) 10 mg
Molybdenum 320 mcg
Glucosamine (as Glucoasmine sulfate) 1.5g
Chondroitin (as chondroitin sulfate) 1.2g

I didnt get a square number for mg (thats what it says in the back)

Ill def take your advice as to fruits and veggies, I need to incorporate that into my diet better…Question when should i eat fruits…before and after workouts? Since its high in glucose…and veggies spaced out during the day?

I am also thinking about incorporating the following into my supplement list
Biotest Branched Chain Amino Acids, 250 tablets
Grow! WHEY Premium Quality Protein (I ran out of whey)
Micronized German Creatine, 500 g
ZMA Anabolic Mineral Support

What do you think?

Thanks again for taking out the time to go over this with me Tampa-Terry, I just want to get to my goal as soon as possible…Trying to do a clean bulk up to 200 lbs, and I am at 185 now.

Cheers.

By the way Im italian, I love to add olive oil to just about every meal. haha
