Adding Thickness to Neck

I’ve got a thin neck by nature. I’ve heard doing exercises for your neck can be very dangerous. Any suggestions to help add some thickness to my neck?

get one of these

I only do shrugs and my neck is 20" right now. This is not complicated.

There is also nothing wrong with the machines designed to work your sternocleidomastoids.

Hehe, say what?

He’s probably referring to the nautilus 4-way neck (or its clones) where in one position you press your face onto the pad and push against it. I’ve seen lots of lifters toss in a 10-12 rep workout on this at the end of their routines (4 sets).

YOu could also try neck bridges under supervision. The bodyweight “guru” furey has an article where he describes a way to work into it safely and he seems to have a decent bull-neck.

4 way neck machine

Neck bridges + heavy deadlifts are working wonders for my neck.
