Adding HCG to Test Gel

Hi, i have started a new thread as i had a thread going on my testosterone gel journey, but i have now added HCG. So i thought i would ask a new question about the latest physical effects.

Ok, here goes.

I was doing the T gel and i felt better physically, but my bloods showed i was making less testosterone on the gel than off it. So the idea was to try adding in the HCG.

Before i did that i tried adding in pregnenalone and i found this to be really effective and helped make me feel more positive. I have been on pregnenalone for 4 weeks taking 25mcg alternate days, so really on 12.5mcg per day.

2 weeks ago i added in HCG, using 250 IU every other day. I have found it to be a small positive, but nothing ground breaking. However, in my second week i have noticed i have started to feel a little irritable in the later part of the day and yesterday at 5pm i was totally wiped out and super tired. If i had to interact with people in this state would be a nightmare.

The same thing has happened again tonight, but it struck me at 9pm, so a little later. I am super tired again and would struggle talking to people.

Does anyone know if this could all be down to the HCG or could it be a pregnenalone issue ?

The only way to tell i suppose is to stop the HCG and i think i am going to do this, but first i must get a blood test to show what the HCG has done on a blood level. I was going to wait 4 weeks, but i will have to get tested tomorrow or on tuesday because i just cannot keep taking it if it is doing this to me.

I have noticed i may be putting a little more weight on around the waste and how i am feeling sort of relates to the time in may when i tried clomid before i took the testosterone gel. The clomid spiked the testosterone, but also super spiked oestrogen. So i am wondering if the HCG is doing this as well.

Thanks for any input. I am really interested in understanding what is the cause of this super tiredness which hits me and the sort of brain fog which comes over me. I have had it over the years, but not for a long time.

Just curious, if you’re injecting HCG why not inject the T as well?

Only have the gel from doc

Ok, so i have my bloods back and they look much better !!!

This weeks blood test is after 2 weeks on HCG and it shows a much greater level of testosterone, but oestrogen has also come up. I think if my oestrogen goes to high i get this tiredness which i wrote about above happening this weekend.

I have backed off the HCG for this week and will resume it at only twice per week doing 250IU doses.

So it seems i have reached my maximum natural level on the gel and HCG before i really start to make more oestrogen. I am doing fine like this so at the moment i will hold and see how the HCG gets on into christmas.

Is it possible to get injections? I don’t think you are absorbing the gel very well. If using hCG to increase testosterone, why not just take more test?

I wouldn’t pay for FSH and LH testing while on TRT.

Some do not feel well with HCG, so it should probably be reserved for those actively trying to conceive or those concerned with testicular atrophy.

I can get injections, but the gel is the first port of call.

After 2 months on gel only my testosterone level was LOWER than before starting replacement (detailed in another thread).

So the next stage was to go to injections OR try HCG, which i have to say i prefer the idea of. I am in the UK and a doctor here (on his Utube channel) is adamant HCG must be used with testosterone replacement. I buy into his way of thinking as well. He isn’t my doc by the way, but my doc does follow what he says.

Anyway i have done the HCG and i can now see it does actually boost overall performance. I am now in the position where i now have a higher level of testosterone and a lower SHBG before any of this treatment started. So it looks like it is working out ok.

I think i have an issue of starting to produce more oestrogen compared to testosterone if i push the HCG to high. So i just need to lower this down a touch i think.

So i am in the position where stuff is going ok, but i don’t really ever feel super amazing like a lot of people seem to feel. I am just good.

The weird thing also is that my body felt better on the gel without the HCG, even though i had LOWER overall testosterone levels. I was less achy and muscle weakness wasn’t as bad. So what is going on there ? It cant be placebo after 2 months. Maybe after a week or two, but eventually reality reasserts itself.

So i am giving my current regime 7/10 for what its doing to me. The injections are a potential next avenue, but i find the gel really easy to use.

Blood tests in the UK come in packages, so you have to buy a certain package, you don’t get to choose what bloods you do. I can do individual tests, but each one would cost £30 minimum, so a package costing £100 for the lot is much cheaper.

Read what you posted. It’s the same thing you see time and time again on here with HCG.
