AD Flapjacks Recipe

Hey everyone. Just thought I’d share a recipe that’s great for your carb-up day if you want to keep it cleanish but don’t feel like brown rice (yuk).

so what you need, assuming you want about 3 or 4 flapjacks, is:

about 45-50g (uncooked) oatmeal
5 egg whites
1 tablespoon cinnamon (optional)
1/3 to 1/2 cup Splenda (optional)

Pretty simple really. Nuke the oatmeal (with water of course) in the microwave until it’s done.
Take it out and throw the cinnamon and Splenda on top. Add the egg whites and use a whisk or fork to mix it all up until you’ve got a thickish gray ooze (yum).

Spoon some of it into a pan that’s been sprayed with Pam or whatever and cook it. It takes a little longer to cook than wheat-based flapjack mix, but you basically just have to wait until both sides are brown. Then put something fat-free and yummy on top like honey, jam or just some more Splenda.

The down and dirt version for bachelors doesn’t include cinnamon or Splenda. Just add whatever you like on top of the flapjacks to taste.

You can also make this recipe with sweet potatoes, believe it o not. You just need to thrown a big potato (cooked, stupid) in a blender with everything else and blend it until it’s smooth.
