Bad news. The past week I’ve had a pain in the back of my knee. It’s not a bad pain, but just enough to know it’s there. I tried to do deadlifts today(stupid) and when I was in the lowered position I would feel the pain. Could this be some kind of an ACL/ICL injury?

Dude, unless you had some sort of trauma to the knee involving excessive force or torque, I doubt you’ve got an injury to your ACL, MCL, LCL, or PCL. More likely, you may have a tendonitis situation on the hammy or gastrocs which is causing the pain. Did you hyperextend the knee lately? Since it’s been over a week, I’d start doing some mild stretching, then icing afterwards. Gradually build up the stretching until you’ve got natural pain free ROM. Don’t forget to ice though, it’ll help reduce the inflammation. It wouldn’t hurt to take some ibuprofen (Advil) to help with the inflammation also. If it doesn’t subside within a couple weeks, get to a therapist.
