Hey T-dudes, i have heard people say that if you do not take in enough protein, your muscles will use themselves up for energy.So my question is this: If i take about 100 grams of protein a day (i’m about 130 lbs) ,but have a high carb intake, do you think i’d lose muscle even though i’ve got loads of energy?thanks for your help guys
If you’re weight training you need a bare minumum of a gram per pound of body weight. Your “energy” from carbs isn’t that important. At your weight, I’d get 2 grams of protein per pound of bodyweight and follow a real mass diet. Read the “Diet Manifesto” article at T-mag right now.
