ABBH question

Yesterday I completed the first 4 ABBH1 workouts in 9 days because of work/family problems. I’m 46,5’8", 187 lbs. I began lifting weights at 38. My lifting performance is modest. Days 1,3,7 were OK. Regarding day 5, my usual performance in V-bar dips is 3X5 (bodyweight only), pullups 3X6 (bodyweight only). Therefore I performed Military Presses and Lat machine in day 5. For Military Presses I used too much weight. 1st and 2nd set were ok. Instead of unloading the barbell, I performed Push Presses for the last 3 sets. I didn’t perform any lat machine exercise for many years. I found problems. Each set I have to reduce the weight,nevertheless I did only 6/7 reps in the last 2 sets. In my usual training, I perform 3-6 reps per set. Anyway I like very much ABBH1 !!

I think I’m just going to abandon my ABBH program for the time being, due to the last session in which I injured my shoulder.

A client I have whose an orthopedist said it sounds like I hurt my AC joint, but he said it wasn’t serious he recommended only ice and ibuprofen.

I am worried about shoulder injuries, though, and think it would be wise to avoid further agrivation by continued heavy lifting.

I guess I’ll maintain for now, then give it another try when I feel like it.
