I have been lifting for a number of years but never focused on my abs. Now after I do a couple of sets of almost any ab exercise I get horrible ab cramps. I am not cramping with any other body part and I try to drink at least a gallon of H20 daily. Any suggestions, I’m tending to avoid targeting this area because of the intense pain!
I have had similar experiences with squats. I hadn’t performed any for quite some time and after and the next day i suffered cramps in my outer quads. They passed after a few workouts.
