A Quote to start the Weekend

#1

"You can soak in specificity, ketogenics, periodization
percentages, and the facts, fallacies, myths and mysteries of hypertrophy all
day long, I'll be at the gym if you need me." - Dave Draper

#2

Beautiful!

I have to say
whilst nutrition etc are damn important in acheiving your goals, its the work you put in the gym that really counts!

#3

Nice quote.

#4

Dave obviously wasn't, and still isn't a big fan of minutia. And he does make a good point. You can talk and analyze all you want, but you'd better get your ass to the gym.

#5

I used to have a favorite shirt that said "Shut up and lift", great quote to start the week end with! Thanks Alicia

168 hours in a week
- 5 hours a week in the gym ____________________________
=163 hours left

Somebody needs to get Dave a palm pilot to help with his time management skills.

#7

Thanks Iron Maiden,
I needed that....;o)

#8

Who is only in the gym for 5 hours a week?

#9

Marc...you need to subtract some time for working and sleeping, too. And, you know, sex.

#10

Aw, come on, it's more fun to read and think about lifting than to actually do it! :D)

(I'm joking.)

#11

I love Draper's stuff. In fact, his website is the only one I visit regularly, aside from T-mag and the Westside ones.

So so true.
Didnt Draper write "Brother Iron, Sister Steel"? That Book blow. Ill keep my periodization and minutiae, thank you very much.

Why is it that appeals to ignorance are so alluring yet so counterproductive?

-Zulu

#14

It's appeals to SIMPLICITY that are alluring.
