A.M. Shakes

Im trying to eat healthy, and am wondering if having my first two meals in the morning be shakes is in any way a bad thing. The rest of my daily meals will be solid foods, but Morning is really rushed, and shakes make it so much easier.

There’s no problem as long as you put a lot of good stuff in: oats, fruit, protein powder, etc.

I have a shake nearly every morning. One I’ve been using recently is:

2 scoops vanilla whey
1 cup frozen berries (any sort)
1 cup milk
1 cup vanilla yogurt
1 banana

Chad Waterbury posted one a while back that was something like:

2 scoops whey
1 apple
1 banana
1 cup broccoli
1 cup oats
water

It tastes decent, but I’m not a big fan of oats in my shakes.

Another good one is:

2 scoops whey
2 cups milk
1 apple or some apple sauce
cinnamon to taste

Get creative. Whey, fruit, and milk won’t steer your wrong.
