@duketheslaya@vvfoo agreed on that point. If anything the only supplement that is going to really help you is creatine. You should be getting protein from food first.
It’s just part of the think Big program. Ben Pollack is an advocate of practicing both styles as they have carryover to each other. Basically the program has defined strength sets and speed sets. I chose to use switch stance for my speed/technique sets. The set/rep scheme changes week to week as well. There’s other options you could use but honestly I feel like I could pull about the same weight sumo as I can conventional now. @idontbrag123
Squats
150 x 3
185 x 3
225 x 3
275 x 1
315 x 6, 6, 6
360 x 2 (wrapped, 2.5m kraits)
Wanted to start getting wrap practice in here as weights get heavier. I can say I definitely need a lot of practice. Couldn’t hit depth here.
Also, back at the end of April for reference I could barely hit 315 for one set of 5. The three sets this morning of 6 were RPE cake lol so I guess I’m making progress
@idontbrag123 man i have no idea where any of my maxes lie at this point. The next block of the program (next month) is the start of the strength block then i have a peak block if you want to call it that. Based on RPE of sets up to this point i honestly feel like sumo and conventional are neck and neck. My last sets of sumo at i think 335/340 felt like an empty bar.
