(Cue Darth Vader voice) “Impressive.”
Nice job, Machine.Thats a current goal of mine also(puln 700)which I know is attainable.I plan on doing it on July 1st to really celebrate my B-day.Also getn married 6 days after that,on 7/7/07,so it’ll be all about the 7’s.
In training I truly never max out on anything, just 3’s,2’s but I recently pulled 600x5@240.I know damn well with a good pysche and contest on the line I could do it just wanna make it special you know.Damn, good job though.
Good luck w/ your pro card looks like your going to earn it w/ all the hard work put in.Hopefully soon enough I’ll be right along side you,in the ASC,just gotta improve my pressing than we can battle with the big boys.
damn chief… nice job!
Dude, that’s fucking awesome. Great job.
Nice pull and Raw to boot, good job.
Nice clean lift. Great job!
Are you a powerlifter?
nice pull dude!
Awesome!!
That’s what I’m talking about! AZ Crew kicking ass! Way to go bro.
“No straps, no hitch! No respect!”
Nice job, man - Good luck trying for your card this season!!!
I noticed that I have a very similar build to you as far as lever lengths go…arms, femurs, tibias, etc. We both also start the pull with the bar an inch or so away from our shins. It’s a technique style very suited for low back pullers.
My current problem is that I started pulling from high boxes to try to get my starting strength up. Turns out it just made me alter my form so that I have great leg strength but not the low back strength I need for pulling from a regular height.
Anyways, that was an excellent pull. You mentioned you don’t eat much to maintain 231. How many calories do you eat a day? How tall are you?
Congrats that’s awesome!

Deficit deadlifts suck for the exact reason you mentioned, they alter your form too much. Seems great on paper, but doesn’t work for a lot of people.
I’m just over 6’1" and probably eat 3 to 4,000 calories per day.
