Remodeling project tomorrow so worked out today. Cable rows seemed incredibly heavy; barbell rows @ 245 and machine ones @ 300+ seem lighter.

Cable rows continue to be really hard. Daily calorie intake reduced by
300 but I don’t think I can blame reduced strength on that.

Hit my head hard on a bar as I was in process of lying back on a bench for dumbbell work. Wasn’t fully awake.

I’ve done that before. It hurts and I always think why did I do that?

I still feel somewhat rough 11 hours later…

24 hrs later it’s only a pulled right trap muscle.

One week later: < 100%, occasional neck/shoulder aches. This doesn’t feel like my disc problems that resulted in lower back surgery at 30, nor anything like clients’ stories with cervical disc injuries. At least I’m not shopping for a recliner. No gym presently.

Disc issues usually cause radiation of pain into arm (cervical), leg (lumbar).
Whiplash will often cause local pain- car accident aka MVA or MVC
Wise to give it a little rest.
Hope it’s resolved soon

Thanks. I must have a whiplash. 45 lb dumbbell in each hand could produce the momentum for that.

I guess you have something even handstand push-ups can’t fix.

Nor pushups either. The sight of my garage pullup bar intimidates me. (more than usual.)

I’m finally experiencing the omnipotent car accident injury. Probably rates a “collar” brace, but I’m not that bad. Down to slight lingering (malingering?) now.

Ouch! Slamming your head like that could give you a concussion. I’m glad you’re feeling mostly better.

Well, I think I saw one star when it happened. I now feel good enough to ease back into gym later this week. Looking forward to your rock adventures.

Most of the snow has melted in my yard. So I’m hoping to get outside this weekend and lift some stones. Maybe flip a tire or two as well.
