I’m glad your back into handstands. Once my shoulder feels better, I need to do the same.

#1104

2/10
50 pushups

2/11 no gym

1 x 7 handstand pushups. Sucking air to brace gut helps a lot.

Present workout is getting stale. Thinking…

#1105

50 pushups

I realized this morning I’ve been doing these in less than l minute.

#1109

Power hug… well done!

#1110

OG, how did resolve your posting problems with this website? I’m apparently having the same trouble.

weekend 50 pushups

2/18 old gym

kettlebell swings 4 x 20 w/35, 50, 50,50

dumbbell bench 5x5 w/55s
machine press 5/x5 90, 110, 110, 110, 130
preacher curls 4 x 8 @ 90, 90, 100, 100

experimenting here.

#1111

2/19 old gym

Garage pullups 2 x 7

squats 1 x 7 @ 135, 5 x 5 @ 225
machine rows , warmup sets, then 5 x 5 @ 250
cable extensions 1 x 8 @ 95, 3 x 8 @ 110

Planned on deads but first squating in months stopped me.

Still experimenting, but 5x5 seems ok. Need increase poundage.

#1112

2/20 50 pushups under a minute

#1113

2/21 old gym

kettlebell warmup 4 x 20 @ 35, 50, 50, 50

OHP 5x5 @ 95, 95, 115, 125, 135
cable flyes high 3 x 10 @ about 135, low 3 x 10 @ about 110
dumbbell hammer curls 3 x 10 w/25s, 35s, 45s

Tired today. I’ve decided to give up the hardcore gyms and just use old one. It’s adequate and close to home.

#1114

That’s cranking.
What’s your training background that led to the body weight work?

#1115

Farm work; college wrestling briefly until grades suffered; 20+ yr woodworking hobby; generally, life.

Started reasonably serious weightlifting in Navy, continued in law school, barn gym thereafter for about 25 yrs until small commercial one opened nearby. Now, I have 10 gyms within about 8 miles of new residence.

#1116

Did the wrestling have a big influence on your exercises?
I wrestled for 3 years in HS. It was a lot of body weight work. Multiple types of pushups, pull-ups, chins, sit ups, bridges for neck , front and back etc…
It left a nice base of body weight work for my training through life. Don’t need much space or stuff.

#1117

rope climbing and handstand pushups were new for me in wrestling. I was familiar with about everything else they threw at me.
