I like to warm up with them ( 3 x 8 or so) in my garage on deadlift days at gym.

That’s pretty solid.
Body weight exercises definitely work, I find them a little easier to recover from.
Plus ( this may sound silly) as we age getting up from the ground unassisted by grappling on to a chair,couch, item is important. Pushups do that.
Pull-ups/chins make you balance your body in space.
Again no biggie at 25, harder as we age.

Good back day.
I’m a big fan of light good morning or light SLDL after DLs.
I like using pull throughs on my DL day to warm up. Either cable or band, start easy and get a little stretch.

315 didn’t seem comfortable today. 305 did. Back’s doing pretty well but didn’t want to test it yet.

May try out another gym tomorrow. Looked at it Friday and it seems about like new gym but with small changing area w/shower. Would certainly be easier.

Trying out this gym. Their cable systems are about twice as heavy for same weight as I’ve been using at other gyms. Might replace my “new” gym with this one. Might not.

5:15 am, about 6 serious lifters, 3 women, 2 trainers. Friendly. Owner said that’s normal M/W/F early am crowd. No 45 lb plates, close enough to home to skip tiny locker room. They open early enough to minimize interstate traffic to work. We’ll see.
