Working ass off last 4 days on clients’ ownership of 70+ acres of Mississippi river alluvion. Public body plans to expropriate from “unknown owners”, and not name my clients. Tax assessor has assessed it to clients from 1955 forward.
This is testing everything I know/experienced over 41 years’ practicing. Glad law partner stayed. I think he is too.
Not to mention granddaughter #2 arrived last night at 6:35 pm.

Over 30 days’ gym absence. Felt weak; strange. Gym crowded when I arrived at 5:30 am, usually getting dressed for work by then. The 50 something guys’ post workout coffee clutch was already sitting in lobby when I walked in. Usual aches and pains conversation which I don’t like. So, back to 4:45 am when they’re working out. Still thinking about that powerlifting gym with the better heavy lifting equipment, a toilet seat, but no shower. Got to first get strength up.
Cold doesn’t describe it fully. Elevated interstate through most of town is still closed. Snow’s still sitting beautifully on it, and most everywhere else. 70s predicted for weekend.
Thinking about new workout with deads, squats and chest work. Remaining fully mobile in good shape at 70 trumps trying to keep up with 40 crowd. Deadlifting 405 remains a goal.
Didn’t realize I duplicated pushdowns, but the two exercises were markedly different. Others in gym made doing the accessory medley tough, so I instead did rows, pushdowns and good mornings as individual exercises. Might get to 405 deads yet.
Don’t hold your breath OG but I’m definitely trying. Tuesday I tried Crippler’s Coan deadlift program and I liked it. Poundages have to be adjusted up a bit, but I’m planning to do it weekly exactly as directed. I’ve only been doing about 3 x 8 deads before, and this program has about 12 sets of up to 3 reps in it. I actually felt tight all day after first day. I wanted to do it again today but directions say no.

Late night small dinner party last evening. Met 3 other couples in same age group. I actually volunteered us for hosting next one. Medium sized city living is improving.
Its nice to get out there a little. My wife and I have joined a couples group at the new church we are attending. On top of that we have been having dinners with different couples about every weekend. We are just looking down the road, when our daughter is in college in two years and it is just us at home.
