Consider yourself lucky to have that much mass on that frame. I lived at an Olympic Training Center, worked in the weight room as an intern, ate my ass off (good food too), lifted 2-4 hours a day (strength program with lots of rest), and peaked at 247. I trimmed back down to 231 with 8% body fat. Haven't touched those numbers since.
It should be noted that I decided I wanted to play college basketball and walked on to a Division II team after graduating from Wichita State. I hadn't played serious ball in 4 years. I traded in my quest for mass for obvious reasons. It hurt my knees to run sprints at 240lbs. Since then all my pursuits have ended in getting fatter with minimal strength gains so I just try to stay athletic.
