5x5 vs Recon Ron Dips/Pull-Ups

Hi guys,
I am not really sure where I should be posting this but figured this might be ok here

I am wondering what would be better for me to do to build up dips and pull ups. Weighted dips/PU 5x5 or body weight following the recon ron program higher reps pyramiding down

currently I am doing 5x5 for dips with 20lbs and recon ron for pull ups.

Do you want to be able to do more reps or reps with more weight attached?

Which leads to more muscle growth?

I want to be able to do more reps but wouldn’t getting stronger help that out? I guess would it be better to do strength and then muscle endurance

What is the impetus for your desire? It’s just pullups and dips. Is there a world pullup and dip championship? What are your strength goals?

Doing more reps IS getting stronger.
