531 Without Deadlifts?


Hi, I recently strained my hamstring. Would it be allright to run one cycle without deadlifts?
What about doing extra front squats on the deadlift day?


It all depends on what you mean by “strained.” I have strained my hamstring and still been able to lift, maybe with less intensity or volume, and then I have strained it and barely been able to walk on that leg. More information may be needed for a better answer.


I strained it 2 weeks ago and made it worse by training(deadlifting). Last week I couldn’t walk but now it’s alot better. Still going to rest one more week. I would think it’s a mild strain.


I’d just do press and bench and put squat and DL on enough of a back burner to recover.
