531 Wendler Pyramid

Ive been using Wendler 531 for about four cycles now and I wanted to know if the 531 pyramid template would be ok to use with weighted dips as an assistance.

So it would look something like this for the 5s week on my working sets
5x170
5x195
220 AMRAP
195 AMRAP
170 AMRAP
Weighted Dips for 50 reps
Keep in mind on those pyramid sets I don’t mean complete failure, but more like just shy of failure with 1-2 reps left in the tank like he mentions in beyond 531.

No reason it wouldn’t.
I pyramid lots of movements. You get volume and reduce risk of injury, with AMRAP for dips just keep enough reps so it’s not a heavy single or double. In my opinion

I meant is it ok to do weighted dips as assistance work but all together it would be 50 reps for weighted dips probably like 5 sets of 10, but the numbers I posted are the bench press numbers I would be doing.

Yes, you could do that.
Try it for a cycle or two, if you burn out, its to much.
I think 3 AMRAP sets is a lot.
But if you can recover and make progress it is fine
