50 Men v Silver Back Gorilla

Well if we can’t have Chuck Noris could we at least have Steven Siegal?

I was watching a K-1 match this week with Bob Sapp at 375# (although a foot taller than the silverback). The 200# opponent nearly won the match until going toe to toe. Great match by the way.

My point-even if the gorilla is 5 times as strong, surely several men continuing to attack would bring the beast down.

Oh and I once saw Tarzan single handedly choke out a male lion

I watched a show where lions were attacking an elephant. It wasnt full grown but it was close to full grown, still 3 tons. About 10 lions got the elephant down and it was over from there. Now the lions just basically ate the elephant alive, its dimensions were too big to get a stranglehold on the neck.

My point is, 50 men should be able to kill any land predator, tiger, lion, bear, even polar bear which are the biggest. Once they get it down they should be able to gouge its eyes jump on its head/throat and over all squash it.

Of course this would mean the men on the bear at the bottom of the pile would be killed and mauled but you do what you have to…
I agree. As long as all 50 men agree to work together to bring it down, knowing that not everyone will live, they should be able to. Eventually enough weight will be put on the beast to basically immobilize it, then you just do what you gotta do to kill it.

The 50 men would obliterate the gorilla. Gorillas are not that strong – “Some people say that a silverback male is ten times stronger than a man while others claim a silverback is 27 times stronger. However, neither argument has been proved. A gorilla male probably looks much stronger than he actually is, as he doesn’t have that much more muscle tissue than humans.”

They aren’t aggressive, they aren’t fast, they can’t communicate. Like most animals they will withdraw when injured and a dominance hierarchy has been established. They attack by biting, almost always in the rump or leg which is dangerous but not exactly automatically lethal – and definitely not an optimal attack when facing 50.

No gorilla would even attempt to attack 50 humans no matter how average they were and how angry it is.

Where are you getting this information? Are u just assuming? There is no way in hell I would ever believe that something that weighs 400 pounds with almost all the muscle mass located above the hips doesnt have more muscle mass than even the biggest bodybuilders. What does it have a bodyfat% of 50?

Some prety good Q & A on this site/thread regarding gorilla strength:

I doubt that 50 men could kill a silverback with no weapons, unless someone uses someone else as a truncheon, like I suggested. Even if you could get your arms around the silver backs neck, Idoubt you could generate the force neccessary to strangulate it.
poke his eyes out, a blind gorilla can’t fight…lol

yeah, we can get steven siegal to act out a scene and the gorilla will just die from the torture.

well, A gorilla isnt realy a punch or swing type animal I think he would grab some one in wich case 3-6 other guys would kick the fuck out of him and beat on him I dont care how big/mad he is 200-400 kicks and punches and he is dead

I would kick it in the nuts Its got to hurt just as bad right

Do you have a shoe so I can judge the size of the silver back?

50 averave men will be wearing clothes and a belt. Connect the 3’ belts to make ten 15’ “ropes”. Pairs of men charge the gorilla from different directions with outstretched “ropes” at the same time to tie up the gorillas arms, legs, and body to immobilize, then strangle the gorilla.

Then the men beat their chest and roar in victory because they have a bigger brain than the gorilla.

Then the men play football with the gorilla’s head because they are in a football sized stadium and the average man loves football.

Then the men use their brains and try to figure out how to turn a dead headless gorilla into beer, because football sucks without beer.

I worked for a summer in sydney zoo as an intern. I spent most of my time with the primates. Yes Male gorillas are big and strong but from what i saw they gas quickly. Very quickly. The male gorillas generally do what all gorillas do, which is sit on their arses eating all day long. But occasionally they flip out, roar and either attack another gorilla or some inanimate object. But when they do this they gas in less than a minute. I’m talking heaving, panting collapse. Also they can’t move very fast. I think 50 men would easily dispatch a Gorilla.

When I was little [7or 8] my folks and I took a trip to Little Rock, Arkansas. We visited the zoo there, which is pretty famous I guess. There was a huge pit with a single male silverback chillin doing his own thing.

Out of nowhere he lets out the most intimidating roar I’ve ever heard and runs over to the solid steel door that can only be opened from the other side. He starts punching the shit outta the door, making DENTS in it. 100’s of people were crowding around the pit to see what was going on, and my mom and I watched the whole thing from the begining.

Every time he hit the door, it sounded like someone was firing bricks out of a potato gun at it. To a 7 yr old kid, NOTHING could have been cooler.
when i was a little kid, our boy scout troop went to the little rock zoo. we stopped by the gorilla pen and the gorilla picked up some manure and started swinging his arm around. of course we didn’t have the sense to move but he threw it at us. we were above him on a bridge and he threw it right over our heads. what a jerk.

“I paid a worker at New York’s zoo to re-open it just for me and Robin. When we got to the gorilla cage there was 1 big silverback gorilla there just bullying all the other gorillas. They were so powerful but their eyes were like an innocent infant. I offered the attendant $10,000 to open the cage and let smash that silverback’s snotbox! He declined.”

I might even volunteer to get in the cage with a silverback, as long as I’m with Mike Tyson.

On second thought, he’d be dumb enough to confuse my scrawny ass with the gorilla and stomp on my testicles.

Here is the answer. Sharpen the Spike bottle on the concrete wall so it is sharp like a blade. Wait for the first dumbass to attack and be killed. Take his body and use the Spike bottle to cut down to his femur bone. Next remove the bone, kick the persons jaw off to use his teeth to sharpen the bone to a point. Here is your weapon. You can make more spears with different body parts to. This would work for the bear to. Yeah I just took Spike.

It would depend on the mental stability of the 50 men. If you have men thinking they lost before the fight even started, like half of the “men” on this thread, then the men dont stand a chance. But if you have men who know they can kill the son of a bitch, like the other half of the MEN on this thread, then it surely can be done.

If working together it would be like a 400-500 lb monster against atleast 7500 pounds of human(assuming everyone is over 150lbs, sorry eliteballa your ineligible).

I’m guessing at least 1 of the 50 men will be able to kick the gorilla in the balls, and it’s pretty much game over.

LOL…I think 5 Bob Sapp is enough for the gorilla. What do you guys think?

Yes, because those of us who see the futility in attacking a 350 pound primate with the strength of 20 men are not men, but fake little bitches, and the other people in this thread who say you can kill it are manlier than we are. I’m glad your inferences are so inconscipuous.

I thought Bob Sapp was a gorilla?

Well, let me just throw this out there, regarding a gorilla’s strength.

"Five years ago at the Animal Kingdom in Orlando, Florida, a male silverback gorilla escaped from its enclosure. Do you know how? I think you’ll be amazed.

Quite simply, he climbed the wall. No big deal, right? Well, take into account that the wall was designed to KEEP THESE ANIMALS IN - it’s a very smooth and slippery surface, nothing for the gorilla to get a hold of.

But this wall had one tiny flaw that the gorilla discovered: a small crack big enough for the 450-lb ape to insert the first knuckle of his index finger. This tiny crack gave the gorilla all he needed to pull his entire bodyweight up the wall and escape a so-called impossible structure."

This is taken from Matt Furey’s King Kong workout advertisment, but somebody might be able to find another source on it. I tried, but this was the only place I found it.
