I'm going to use the 5/3/1 Program and apply to strongman training.
For first training cycle this will be routine:
DAY 1 DEADLIFT (max 565)
Unilateral Leg press
DAY 2 BENCH (max 375)
DAY 3 ATG BACK SQUAT (max 375)
DAY 4 LOG CLEAN & JERK (max 290)
DB Incline Press
DAY 5 EVENT TRAINING
I'm planning on doing a meet Oct 10, as a LW (231). Monday morning I weighed 268 so I will definitely be including conditioning training for weight loss. I'm using Starnes carb cycling for my diet.
