5/3/1 Simplest Strength FSL/Joker Sets

Hey I want to start 5/3/1 simplest strength and it’s just look like there is not enough volume for the main lifts.

  1. Should I consider FSL/Joker sets and if yes than which one?

  2. Should I do facepulls between the bench and ohp sets?

  3. If you will recomend me to add Joker sets/FSL in the AMRAP sets should I push near failure or only 2-3 reps more and than do Joker/FSL?
    The program:

OHP 531: Close grip bench (*), lats, upper back, tri, bi (3x10-20 each)

DL 531: Front squat (*), hamstrings, lower back, abs (3x10-20 each)

Bench 531: Incline bench (*), lats, upper back, tri, bi (3x10-20 each)

Squat 531: SLDL (*), hamstrings, lower back, abs (3x10-20 each)

(*) are a second periodized lift per session with 3x10 ascending in week 1, 8,8,6 ascending in week 2, and 3x5 ascending in week 3 and deload week.

Not enough volume for what?

The secondary “big” lifts are your supplemental work. How much more volume do you need?

If you think the SST does not have enough volume do something else.

I’ve run it with jokers and fsl and ssl where I did a 5x5. You may have to tinker to get it dialed in.
