5/3/1 - Offseason for Strength

Hi Jim,

Had great success with the Original 5/3/1 simplest strength, and recently decided to try something a bit different to change it up.

I read through 5/3/1 for powerlifting and looking at running the Offseason for Strength template using 3/5/1. My question is in the book it doesn’t mention doing a AMRAP down set, or even +sets on the final set. Should I stick to the template as is, or could I add these in?

I’d suggest doing the template “as is” - it works!

Don’t try to add in everything, all the time and think it’s good. That is nothing more than Child Programming (doing everything at “10”, no plan) - so be an adult and make good choices.
