40 Year Old with Low Test

When I was about 25 or so I had my Test checked to see what the level was prior to and after I took Andro. Basically to see if the stuff worked. My TT was 246, sorry but I do not have the FT results. I was shocked. After the cycle of andro my TT was 700+ so I assumed the initial result was wrong.

I went to the doctor last week (now 39) to have several tests including Test. My TT was 92 an my FT was 2.1 - I don’t know what scale he is using but his scale states 8.1 is a low average. He has now put me on Test C until I see a specialist in April. After doing research on low test, I have and have had symptoms for my entire life and have never put things together.

First question: I am a pretty muscular guy 5’10/235, however I have always had a little belly fat and always the “love handles” (symptom all my life). I am also fairly strong. I bench around 385 or so (dont max just a good guess) and I have been really close to 400lbs in the last couple years. How could I have that size and strength with that low of Test?

Second question: When I see the specialist in April, with the exception of my test, he is going to automatically assume I am there for steroids / hgh. Is there anything I can say to prove my intentions are legitimate or will the blood test stand for itself?

Third and final question? I am taking 200 of Test C every two weeks. Is it a common dosage or not. I would like to take more but I dont want it look as though, again I want it for the wrong reasons. And what should I be feeling after injecting the Test?

Read the TRT sticky in the over 35 forum. 200mg of test cyp every 14 days is FAR from optimal.

Also, if you’re taking test cyp and go take a blood test, depending on when your last injection was, your blood test may come back with your test levels in the normal range.

Your best bet is to explain to the doctor what you’ve been doing. How long have you been using exogenous testosterone?

Best thing to so is look for a good hormone specialist in your area.
Proper protocol use is to use smaller doasges more frequently such as 50 mgs bi weekly vs once every 2 weeks. With 200 mgs one is going to get a huge surge of t levels for upto 2000 ng/dl 48 hours later then end up at 300 at next injections.

This is a hell of a roller coaster ride resulting in neurological issues as well as e2 and T fluctuation that will be almost imporssible to control. How we do HRT is that we use smaller injections more frequently and results have been so much better. For information pm me

I have another blood test 10 days after my 1st shot of 200 mg Test C. Will that alter the results much? After doind a lot of research on this, I would LIKE to take 150 mg / 2x week. Is that too much in the sense that it is getting in the bodybuilding stages? My understanding for taking steroids for that purpose, ususally it is at least 400 mg. Thankfully my doctor is pretty understanding and will probably do what I ask of him, within reason.

What should I expect from even taking the Test? I know a lot of these answers will be answered by my specialist but I dont have that appt for 2 more months so any info that I can get now would be great. After my 1st shot and for that entire day, I was in a really good mood and it was not a placebo effect because I never thought I would feel that way from steroids. I was probably just happy that I was taking steroids legally.

To answer your question: I have only taken 1 shot of the Test.

Can anyone answer me why I am so irritable with low Test? I understand the “roid rage” with high levels but not w/ the low levels.

I am also new to this forum stuff, so what does “sticky” mean?

There are four “stickies” at the top of the forum list; the one to start with is: “TRT: protocol for injections”

sticky means the topic is stuck at the top of the list
