3x3, 3x10.... Whats The Order?

i know, this is a really stupid question, but when people say 5x5, or 3x10, or 10x3… would that mean 5SETSx5REPS… or 5REPSx5Sets? ive always thought it meant 5SETSx5REPS, i just wanna get that clarified.

It is usually sets/reps like you said, but watch out, because some authors will confuse people just for the sake of it and write it the other way.

Usually it’s mentioned somewhere if they do that though.
