38, Tired and Frustrated

I can’t stop reading about all this shit and its making my head hurt. Yeah I have low T but I’m also reading about thyroid issues and adrenal fatigue that I may have too which could be causing it. Then you read elsewhere it could be the other way around. I’m starting to get paralysis by analysis with all the different info that is out there on where the hell to start. Right now TRT is jumping the gun to me though.

Don’t forget environments full of xenoestrogens ( Naked Truth: Xenoestrogens & Xenoestrogens & https://www.t-nation.com/pharma/war-on-estrogen) and endocrine disruptors.

I hear you there. Thyroid and Adrenal are to be addressed. Symptoms of Thyroid issues can be similar to low T.

Start with getting adequate blood tests.

I have done my blood tests with Defy. I think the prices for the blood tests are probably a little cheaper than if you just went on labcorp’s website.

Make sure get the thyroid tests added if you work with them. I believe they will look at all your bloodwork, and I think they will address more than just testosterone.

Maybe systemlord knows a bit more what they offer in regards to Thyroid and Adrenal?

Well according to temps I do have a thyroid issue going on also. Started iodine and selenium suplementation yesterday so hopefully that helps.

I was little nervous that it was just thermometer I got reading low after the first couple readings. I looked at what I read at docs office though and it was only 97 also.

I’m using 1000mcg iodine capsule, is that too little for IR? Also my wife has been looking to see if she has an auto-immune disease causing hypothyroidism so just had recently had her anti-bodies checked. Not sure how we should be checking the lab report. Can anyone shed some light on what we should be looking for on those?

Not to sound like an ass but is she working with a doctor on this? Antibodies, high TSH, low T4 are usually the indicators of Hashimotos disease. Hasimoto’s disease is an auto-immune disease where the immune system attacks the thyroid causing goiter and hypothyroidism.

Yeah she is working with a doctor. Her TSH is lower (1.02) and her t4 was a little below mid range. Her t3 is low though from what she found out today. From what I have read so far, her antibodies are below the optimal range of being under 2, so she should be good on that front. She has also been trying to change up her diet the last week to exclude gluten and also FOD map type stuff so hopefully they will drop even more. She has been feeling better doing that. Her t3 is the concern right now.
My numbers with tsh and t4 are worse than hers but my doctor isn’t going to do shit because I am in the ranges just like my testosterone. That is why i am asking about IR so I can see if I can get myself at least feeling a little better before I start pushing for more from doctor or choose to check with Defy.

My temps were low and I ended up doing IR for 14 days and it worked. Temps came back up and most of the lethargy lifted. Get a log of your wife’s temps too.

How much were you taking to get replenished?

50mg

LOL, well shit. That answers my question if the stuff I got was too little. I guess I can take the rest of the bottle for one serving to hit that number of mg.

KSman has a write up in one of the stickies about how to go about IR. Maybe you can take yours on schedule and see if you see improvements and then work up. Too much iodine is bad too.

Yeah I read it in the stickies but didn’t pay attention enough to the actual dosages before I had bought the bottle I have now. I’ve only taken it two days now and I want to say I’m feeling better today but honestly I think I’m getting a placebo effect than actually doing anything although maybe the selenium could be doing something. I’ll just start taking more throughout the day and get another bottle on order. Thanks for the info on what you used.

Good luck and keep us posted on you and your wife.

Wife’s doctor is putting her on t3 med now so hopefully she gets her symptoms resolved.

Well have a quick 15 minute consult with a local naturopathic doctor hopefully he can help me out. He was referred by a guy at the gym that is on TRT and supposedly the doctor himself is on TRT. That I think is a good sign. That and the guy that referred me says he goes by how you feel not by numbers.

Starting TRT tomorrow! Going to pick the script up tonight after work. I’m starting on a cream that is compounded by a local pharmacy. I know a lot of you don’t approve of them but right now I don’t have a choice and doc said if I don’t respond to it the way I should he will get me in touch with those who can prescribe shots and he will manage my protocol. As of right now he cannot prescribe shots in my state, he was able to in the two states he used to practice but can’t here yet.

NH_Watts Dr Oz tested Donald Trumps when he was 71 i think, it came out 440 ng/dl so yeah any testosterone of 300 for us 30 Year old Men" is ABYSMAL it’s worse than just low. Embarassing when the current President has 140 Points higher Test. :frowning:

rise80 Good luck brother i hope you get a good T.R.T Specialist too help you go from 300 to 900. 600 more on top of it, you probably will feel on Top of the World! bro.

Thanks brother! That is what I am hoping for. Without any tests to prove it, I believe I have been low T virtually all my life with going by symptoms and now finally doing something about it. So I am really hoping for a large increase in quality of life.
