37 Y/O on TRT - Secondary Hypogonadism?

#1

Age: 37years
Height: 5’08"
Waist: 34
Weight: 185lbs
Body and skin: I am ‘skinny fat’ and have a hard time putting on muscle. My skin tends to be dry. I carry fat on my hips, abdomen and chest area. I have a reasonable amount of body hair, especially on my legs and chest.
No Rx or OTC drugs.

December 2016 labs:
SHBG 14
Range 10-50 nmol/L
LH 1.4
Range 1.5-9.3 mIU/mL
TT 214
Range 250-827 ng/dL
E2, FT not tested.

January 2017
FSH 1.3
Range 1.6-8.0 mIU/mL UL
LH 1.9
Range 1.5-9.3 mIU/mL UL
Prolactin 7.7
Range 2.0-18.0 ng/mL UL
TT 294
Range 250-827 ng/dL UL
E2, FT not tested

Based on these #s the Uro decided to start me on TRT (3 pumps of Androgel 1.62 daily).

I did get another test done ~3 weeks after starting TRT
SHBG 16 nmol/L
Range: 10-50 nmol/L EN

LH 1.7 mIU/mL
Range 1.5-9.3 mIU/mL UL

PROLACTIN 5.0 ng/mL
Range: 2.0-18.0 ng/mL UL

TT 298 ng/dL
Range: 250-827 ng/dL UL

ESTRADIOL 32 pg/mL
Range < OR = 39 pg/mL

FT 86.0 pg/mL
Range 46.0-224.0 pg/mL
(FWIW, I had to fight to get E2 and FT tested)

Morning wood and libido has plummeted. Also erections are not what they used to be. Im guessing high E2 is the cause here since I am not taking AI.

Was also diagnosed with low Vit D in annual physical and am taking 2000IU daily. Is that enough?

Could I have secondary hypogonadism? Im thinking of getting checked by a surgeon that specializes in pituitary disorders.

I will buy an oral thermometer and post temperatures here over the next few days.

Thanks everyone for making such an awesome resource available! I definitely feel more comfortable taking my health in my own hands. Still a long way to go but the info here has been invaluable.
