was going to do a lot morebut somehow all my energy left me, do you guys think its a bad idea to finnish tonight or wait till like monday or tuesday to finnish?

#2

Probably just wait. That is a strong deadlift.

#3

raw back squat-walked out belt on heavier sets
135x8
135x6
225x4
315x1
350x1-easier then expected
315x2-high ham. pain
135x10
135x10
leg raises
x15-hanging
puching bag- on ground like mma style or whatever
x30 sec.
x30 sec.
x30 sec.

If I post video of my puching, could someone tell me what I am doing wrong?

#4

The numbers that you are lifting in other lifts make me doubt your deadlift, especially your squat.

But also if you deadlifted 620, why are you close-grip benching 135x10?

And a 31 inch vertical off a 620 deadlift, my deadlift is in the mid to high 400s and my vertical is bigger than that.

#5

Andy Bolton deadlifts over 1,000 pounds and I bet his vertical is less than 36". The deadlift isn't the only factor going into it.

#6

lol strong doubt I could post a link to my 620 vid.
I can do 225x5 for close grip and 300x1 bench.

i may be good for more then 31 in vert, thats just the last number i got when testing it.

#7

he is also probably heavier than you, used straps and hitched some, some people excell in one lift rather than others but he is for real i dont think someone would start a log and keep it updated to lie about numbers so calm yourself

#8

I am calm! ha

Ye I hope he isn't making it up, just gotta be wary of some people on T-Nation. The vertical jump wasn't the only reason, just an example.

But ye, you know what some internet warriors are like, and I just didn't think the bench numbers ect, matched a 620 deadlift.

#9

here is my deadlift and jumping

#10

barbell overhead-from rack
135x8
135x8
205x3-push press
225x3-push press, way easier then normal
265x1-bad form
275x1-was going for more but didn't happen
235x2
during before and after I did back rows with 105 dbl, and some reverse flys
dbl snatch
105x5 (5L, 5R)
bench
225x1-cg
245x2
225x5-close grip record, but im not recovered at all so i am good for a lot more.

jerk form was pretty bad today since not doing any heavy overhead work for about three weeks, my push presses were actually stronger then normal, but again the heavyer weight for the jerks felt heavy just from not holding that much weight in that position for awhile. I may even be overlooking that my jerk would be stronger if i recovered more from last upper body workout.

#11

here is a pic from today to see how far my head is from rim on running two foot vertical

#12

LOL, I was waiting for the vid to come out. Hey, Hulk. I remember you had to stop running smolov because of glute-ham pain as well. You don't suffer any pain during any of your other sports? Have you had that checked out before?

#13

no other sports actually helped heal it in the other side 2 years ago, I just cant work squat much because the more I do the more it hurts. Is that picture working??

#14

I'm not seeing the pic.

That's an odd pain. I'm 6'4 as well, but when I was your age, I was quite a bit thinner than you and didn't have a proper squat until MUCH later in life. It would be cool to see that issue get resolved so that we could see your squat improve.

long today. took a little bit of extra time to recover on sets, but I did use very little caffeine today to give my body a chance not to build up tolerance.

#19

before workout out I did ball handling drill for a little over an hour, it was almost cardio type of training.
then
romanian deadlift
135x10
225x5
300x9
300x9
300x9>>20situps

then went to baseball game I didn't hit as good as normal I think I either was over tired, and low on fuel, or that I had too much caffeine in me and couldn't relax enough hitting. I am about to go to my other teams' game I hope I do better.
