320 Pound Deadlift at 145

Hey folks, not sure if this is the right forum to post this under, but i just wanted some feedback on my training. As of now im at a weak 145 lbs, at 5’8, and i just hit a new PR of 320lbs on my deadlift. How well am i coming along strength wise, and is this considered good for my weight right now?

Intermediate. Gotta keep training, I guess.

Good, guess ill have to add more today!

What are you training for? Do you simply want to add strength to your deadlift? Or are you looking to increase your overall physical prowess?

Weakness is a state of mind, not a physical characteristic.

Who cares? Get stronger, get bigger.

Not very lofty goals on that site, IMO…their elite totals are especially funny, because if you add up bench/squat/deadlift according to their criteria, it still puts you about 100 pounds below elite in the real PL sense of the word (at least for the 275 weight class).

This. Why do so many kids seek validation online?

“I did this. Was it good?”

If you are stronger today than you were tomorrow, then it was good.

If people still have to ask you if you lift weights, you probably need to get bigger and stronger.

Get it up to 3x bodyweight and you can qualify for the night of the living dead. Solid pull but it is not a new world record or anything.

You obviously need to get your flux capacitor checked.

Hey, elite too, so what Dixie said!

The weird thing about these standards is for 132, 438 seems pretty high while 567 seems low for 198. Whatever, it’s just another guy 's opinion .

Agreed, but by the time you’re totaling elite you’re probably not using those tables anymore.

145@ 5’8 = eat your weight in protein, everyday…

I am elite in every catergory… making those standards total bullshit.

Yeah the standards are a little rogue in their distribution especially in low the standards for women are. I think it’s okay to give a beginner something to shoot for, but after a certain point, it’s generally useless. It puts me right between advanced and elite in every lift sans snatches and cleans, and I believe that too be false.
