30-10-30 Warm-up & Bodyweight/Dumbbell Substitutions?

Good morning Dr. Darden,
I’ve noticed you are fine with bodyweight substitutions for 10-30-10 program (which BTW is brilliant!). How do you feel about dumbbells? I sense you may not suggest this due to reliance on stabilization with non-targeted muscles. Also, should us over 60 yo include a warm-up or are the “high-tension”, first 30 sec negative with appropriate wt sufficient?

I have no problems with dumbbells. Use them instead of a barbell.

Warming up is of value to some older people. Just keep it brief.
