3 Day Strength Full Body Program

Hey CT.

I just wrote a strength program for myself based on a couple basic lifts programs I found on the internet and I just wanted your toughts about it.

WORKOUT A

Back extension 3x10
Bench Press 5x5
Pendlay Row 5x5
Squat 5x5

WORKOUT B

Back extension 3x10
OHP 5x5
Pull-up 5x5
Rack-pull Deadlift 5x5

Week 1: A-B-A
Week 2: B-A-B
etc.

Does it make sense? Any suggestion?

Where do you start the rack pulls (height)?

Just below the knee

Why did you pick that exercise instead of a regular deadlift or RDL?

I am 6’3" tall and I find the deadlift from the floor hard for my back. I also tried the test you talked about in “Should We All Deadlift From The Floor?”

I concluded that I should not deadlift much below the knees.

I want to improve my strength as much as possible, this is why I chose rack-pull instead of RDL.

Ok, perfect… the exercise selection looks ok… you might benefit from changing the sets/reps scheme after you repeated each workout 4-6 times.

I almost completed my program so I wrote the next one and I wanted your toughts on it.

DAY A
Back Extension 3x10
Bench Press 3x5
Pendlay Row 3x5
Back Squat 3x5
Rack-Pull 1x5

DAY B
Back Extension 3x10
OHP 3x5
Pendlay Row 3x5
Back Squat 3x5
Rack-Pull 1x5

Does it look good? Maybe too much volume with the pendlay row 3 times a week?
