Won the 8 am game 2-0.

Played the Omaha Pirates team Saturday afternoon.

We tied 1-1 and lost in the shootout. The Pirates went on to win the tournament.

We were the only team to come close to beating them. Their captain told me after the championship game that the real championship game was the game with us.

Knees still troublesome, but they seem to be getting better.

Knees a little better.

Had a good skate Wednesday. Had the goalie from my tournament team dropping f-bombs on the goal I scored on him.

Played both ends of the game too, made some good defensive plays too.

My goalie thanked me for blocking one slap shot with my body.

And yes, it left a mark.

Will be switching the 531 template to 4 times a week.Hopefully Iā€™ll get the squating back up to a reasonable weight quickly.

Uh oh MIA, you might wind up on page 2. Do we grow you a new knee?

Wellā€¦ X-rays show some arthritis in the knees, MRI results not back yet looking for tears.

I have deteriorated to where walking hurts on the right knee.

In other news, I did get to the New Jersey/New York City area for a week of training. Spent some time with my oldest, whoā€™s going to Med School in NYC.

Iā€™ll post some pics

Ha I read that as you were looking for tears (the ones that come out of eyes).
Thatā€™s a nice pic of your daughter, maybe she should go into orthopadic surgery, fix you up.

I know, that sentence looked wrong.

Sheā€™s already advising me about my knees, lol. She is considering some surgical field.

MRI Results are back.

Some slight tearing. I can delay surgery.

Going for the rehab work of bike work and icing.

I can walk without a limp now most of the time.

Will decide in a month if Iā€™ll get cortisone injections.

Ok, so left knee is back to 95+%.

Right knee is 60-70%

This is taking a long time :frowning:

This injury is having me miss out on getting to referee the college womens hockey games that are now playing here. :frowning:

Well I have the title for my next workout thread when the Fortress of Solitude ends.

Ha is that you? For some reason I thought you were a blond? Injuries suck, especially when they take their time to heal.

Yes I had a feeling you were not the redhead.

Hey now, some of my best friends are blond(e) (who may or may not be necessarily true blonds)

And Iā€™m back.

Tough summer with knee pain, to the point to where back in September I couldnā€™t walk.

Finally went to see a knee specialist.

Arthritis starting in my knees and some cartilage damage in the rght knee.

So down time. Lotā€™s of not doing anything.

Iā€™m able to walk up and down stairs again, right knee is still an issue.

Back to hockey again, still some issues there.

A lot of icing the knees after pretty much anything helps.

Back to the gym for the first time since July. And with that went for the straight forward Wendler 531 BBB program.
