Friday - 05/09/2014 - Hockey
League Playoff Game - 1 hour
We tied in regulation 3-3. I scored the second goal in the 3rd period, and we tied it with a minute and a half left after we pulled the goalie.
Shoot went 7 rounds, we pulled out a win.
Saturday 05/10/2014 - Hockey
Well I didnāt play the playoff game today, was schedule to work.
Team played to a 0-0 tie, they won in the ninth round of the shootout
Next game is Sunday evening.
Sunday - 05/11/2014 - Hockey
Playoff game - 1 hour
Won 3-2. Had a 45 minute delay 5 minutes into the game because of tornado warning/sighting.
So we went into our locker room and drank beer.
Next game is Friday night.
Tuesday - 05/13/2014 - Hockey
Skills Camp with the Pros - 1 hour
Scrimmage after - 1 hour
Felt a lot better this week. The full rink sprints at the end, I was finishing in the top 3.
Wednesday - 05/14/2014 - Hockey
Hockey Skating Class - 1 hour
Scrimmage - 1 hour
Passed the āLevel 3ā test for hockey skills.
Scored a goal in the scrimmage
Friday - 05/16/2014 - Hockey
Playoff Game - Won 4-1.
No points but earned a trip to the sin bin.
We never beat this team in the regular season. We lit them up for 3 goals before they finally scored with a minute and a half to play in the game.
Next game is Saturday at noon. One more win to be in the Championship game.
Saturday - 05/17/2014 - Hockey
Playoff Game - 1 hour
I got an assist on our second goal to tie the game, and deflected the puck at the goalies pads to score our third goal.
Game ended in a 3-3 tie. They tied with 16 seconds left in the game.
We lost in the shootout.
Ended in third place for the playoffs.

Pro Skills Camp - 1 Hour
Had about 8 USHL prospects doing the powerskating portion with us.
Last half of the class was all short ice game play. 3 on 3 with the nets 20 feet apart, cross ice 5 on 5 but wings and defense couldnāt cross the ācenterā line. So it ended up being 2 defense vs 3 wings on each half. Hard drills that were fun.
Finished with the usual full rink length down and back sprints.

Iām not dead yet.
Spent the last month focusing on hockey. Between the Adult Skills camp, hockey drop-ins, and my league games, I didnāt have enough time to recover with even 2 days of lifting every week.
Skills camp ended in a Fantasy game with former and current NHL and collegiate players being mixed up with the camp attendees.
I ended up having Warren Peters - NHL/AHL, the Suter boys-(D1 Collegiate Hockey/USHL/U18-AAA) on my bench. Played against Jed Ortmeyer -NHL/AHL, Dan Ellis - NHL Panthers and Alex Hudson - ECHL.
Dan was skating out and not playing goalie.
Won a face off against Jed.
Picked the puck off Danās stick when he was going behind his net, which eventually lead up to my first goal
I was the only non-pro to score a hat trick.
Jed and Warren talked to me after the game and commented on how much I had improved since they last saw me play a couple of years ago
I turned 52 last week.
Iām sorting out a new lifting routine and will be back at it in the next week.
