Wondering why the ‘big name’ guys aren’t doing these shows for an easy Olympia qualification?

I have a buddy that is buddies and trains with Charles Griffen, and an aquatintence that has gotten into a fight with him at the gym (not my gym but a local one).
He is brothers with Everson Griffen, who is a defensive end in the NFL (he is pretty damn good too).
I’m glad to see he is doing well.

Quoting myself, but I’ve heard a few explanations why…
First being travel dificulties to other countries with the current (neverending!) situation.
My thinking on this is that the middle of the year is a bad time to compete if you want to peak for the Olympia, guys who qualify early can just go back into off-season mode until Olympia prep time, while guys who qualify closer to the Olympia can just mantain their peak until the Mr.O.

Pictures when I see them.
He looks great and well proportioned. Looks more like 90s era BBers than modern for open class.
Don’t think he will be able to hold up on the Olympia stage though.

I couldn’t agree more. That pic of Hassan actually impressed me, which doesn’t happen a lot these days. Big and symmetrical.

Definitely had that 90s conditioning.
