2020 - Trump Ain't Playing Games

No, I said the govt was doing a good job in the treasury and military. Just dont want them telling me I cant decide what is good for me and my family.

You’re right, this thread is about Trump and the current field of candidates. I know I’m not going to change anybody’s mind here

I’m know anecdotally a lot exists. Just like you can find a lot of issues with health care bankrupting people in this country. A simple google search is going to show you multiple sources saying the US spends more on health care with worse outcomes than many other countries.

If our system is so good why don’t the people in countries with socialized health care push to go for it? Seems as if you only hear about us pushing to be more like them. You can google it if you want.

PLEASE!

I BEG of everyone to not derail this thread into yet another abortion debate,

Do we have month by month breakdowns or where you are getting the information on? Obviously Trump having basically been fundraising for 2020 since winning is going to start with a greater amount. I’m just curious what he is looking like total per month vs. total for Democrats per month.

I don’t think Trump is going to struggle to raise money but assuming the Dem candidate wins somewhat early and not brutally harmed like Hilary was the money will pour in. The anyone but Trump enthusiasm (money) is going to be very strong.

As someone said a lot of the big Dem money is going to hold out somewhat until this field thins.

Can you elaborate on this please? What harm?

No I don’t, H.

This was from various news-feeds/media sources…not from my independent research.

Sorry.

Well she was pretty hated going in and much more so after the DNC debacle. Sanders supporters especially.

This also is from various media sources.

No biggie. I’ll dig around and see if I can find anything. It’s still somewhat early in the process for Dems as well.

And why do you think this was? She is untrustworthy

How about religion? JK, I’ll do my best not to go there.

I wasn’t saying it to talk about her merely to say if the Dem candidate comes out of the primary as battered as she was (from the DNC leaks was my main point). One of the few people who could run with DJT in terms of disapproval ratings.

I’d definitely say she is untrustworthy. Probably can’t match Trump on that either though. Writing out Trump’s lies would require 50 Big Chief tablets (not sure those exist anymore).

Trump’s tv ads in 2016 were probably the best I’ve ever seen for a political candidate.

Ok. Let’s start from the beginning - Sweden is not socialist. Nor are other Scandinavian countries.

The Nordic model is underpinned by a free market capitalist economic system that features high degrees of private ownership with the exception of Norway, which includes a large number of state-owned enterprises and state ownership in publicly listed firms.

The Nordic model is described as a system of competitive capitalism combined with a large percentage of the population employed by the public sector (roughly 30% of the work force). In 2013, The Economist described its countries as “stout free-traders who resist the temptation to intervene even to protect iconic companies” while also looking for ways to temper capitalism’s harsher effects, and declared that the Nordic countries “are probably the best-governed in the world”. Some economists have referred to the Nordic economic model as a form of “cuddly” capitalism, with low levels of inequality, generous welfare states and reduced concentration of top incomes and contrast it with the more “cut-throat” capitalism of the United States, which has high levels of inequality and [a larger concentration of top incomes.

Beginning in the 1990s, the Swedish economy pursued neoliberal reforms) that reduced the role of the public sector, leading to the fastest growth in inequality of any OECD economy. However, Sweden’s income inequality still remains lower than most other countries.

I think I found a lot of what you are talking about. Although talking about these races interest me the money involved disgusts me.

I never claimed they were socialist. I claimed “socialist like”.

Also, from the perspective of people from the past, they would likely be labeled socialist.

China was socialist. It was never really communist. Please don’t listen to socialists when they tell you all the bad shit happened because they were communist.

Which country’s perspective?

The ruling party currently in China is the Communist Party of China. That party has been in power for over 60 years.
